Welcome to the Teaching page everyone:

I was talking to a christian friend from Los Angeles, California the other night.  We had a discussion on the Trinity, she struggles with the aspect of three being one.

Here is how a Pastor showed me how to explain it.

Take a electric stove, turn the burner on high.

Once it is hot, put a pan of water on the burner. Bring it to a full boil. The water represents God.

Once its boiling put an ice cube in the boiling water. What happens? Correct it dissolves and becomes water. The ice cube represents Jesus Christ.

Once its hot enough the water turns to steam correct?   Guess what you have now?  That's correct the steam represents the Holy Ghost.

To prove if this truly works take a piece of glass and hold it over the steam, what do you get when the steam cools? Correct you get water drops on the glass.  The Holy Ghost turned back into God.

Then take the glass with water on it, put it in the freezer. What do you have now?  Your correct again, Ice! Now you again have Jesus Christ from the steam turned to water turned to ice.

When praying  we should all pray with the idea associated with ACTS.  It is a way to be sure to give praise and thanksgiving to the Lord in heaven.

As well as Confessing and asking for God to do what we can't do without him.

Without these 4 basic points, I would imagine that most people will feel empty and half hearted while praying.

I know before this acronym was given to me, I felt as if I wasn't reaching the maximum with my prayer time.

A-Adoration
C-Confession
T-Thanksgiving
S-Supplication
